Pritzker Mimarlık Ödülü sahibi Shigeru Ban tarafından tasarlanan Metal Shutter Houses, Chelsea'da sessiz bir sokakta yer alan butik bir konuttur. Aydınlık bir duplex daire olan bu, binanın ikinci katında bulunan 3 yatak odalı, 3 banyo olan ev, modern şehir lüksünün şık bir ifadesidir. Hava dolu 20 ft tavanlar ve tamamen çekilebilir yerden tavana cam duvarlar aracılığıyla erişilebilen yaklaşık 350 sq. ft. güney yönlü bahçe ile birlikte iki özel açık alan sunarak, bu 1,986 sq. ft. dairenin her bir mekanizması ve detayı özenle seçilmiş, hiçbir ayrıntı göz ardı edilmemiştir. Özellikleri arasında pırıl pırıl beyaz meşe ahşap zeminler, her iki kata da anahtar kilitli asansör erişimi, evdeki çamaşır makinesi/kurutucu ve motorlu delikli metal dış panjurlar bulunmaktadır.

Evin alt katı geniş, açık konsept bir mutfak ve yaşam alanından oluşmaktadır. Kayar kapılar resmi bir yemek alanına açılmakta olup, katın her iki ucundaki balkon ve teras, iç mekan/dış mekan arasında kesintisiz bir yaşam deneyimi sunmak üzere açılabilir. Tamamen beyaz mutfak modernliğin bir portresidir. Şık bir heykelsi yiyiş adası, mat lake dolapları, bir kiler ve Viking ile Fisher & Paykel'dan yüksek kaliteli aletler ile donatılmıştır. Mükemmel bir tam banyo alanı tamamlanmaktadır. Evin üst katı, geniş bir çift yatak odası ve banyo içermektedir. Ana yatak odası, Empire State Binası manzarasına sahip kuzey cephesine açık, büyük bir dolap ve çift lavabo, yürüme duşu ve ayrı bir küvet bulunan harika bir ebeveyn banyosuna sahiptir. İkinci yatak odası teras üzerinde, kendi özel dolabına sahip olup, ev ofisi olarak kullanılabilir.

Designed by Pritzker Architecture Prize winner Shigeru Ban, Metal Shutter Houses is a boutique condominium situated on a quiet street in Chelsea. A luminous duplex condo, this floor-through 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home situated on the second floor of the building is a sleek expression of contemporary city luxury. With airy 20-ft ceilings and a pair of private outdoor spaces that includes an appx. 350 sq. ft. south-facing garden accessible through a fully retractable floor-to-ceiling glass walls, every fixture and finish of this 1,986 sq. ft. apartment has been hand selected, and no detail has been overlooked.
