Pritzker Mimarlık Ödülü sahibi Shigeru Ban tarafından tasarlanan Metal Shutter Houses, Chelsea'de sakin bir sokakta yer alan butik bir konuttur. Yeniden tamamen yenilenen bu aydınlık duplex daire, binanın ikinci katında bulunan, 3 yatak odası ve 3 banyodan oluşan, düz bir kat planına sahip ev, modern şehir lüksünün şık bir ifadesidir. Havalı 20 fit tavanlar ve tamamen geri çekilebilir yerden tavana cam duvar aracılığıyla erişilebilen yaklaşık 350 sq. ft. güney cepheli bahçenin de bulunduğu iki özel açık alan ile bu 1,986 sq. ft. dairenin her aksesuarı ve detayı özenle seçilmiş olup, hiçbir ayrıntı göz ardı edilmemiştir. Özellikler arasında temiz beyaz meşe ahşap zeminler, her iki kat için anahtarlı asansör erişimi, evdeki çamaşır makinesi/kurutucu ve motorlu delikli metal panjurlar bulunmaktadır.

Evdeki alt kat, geniş, açık bir konsept mutfak ve yaşam alanından oluşmaktadır. Kayar kapılar resmi bir yemek alanına açılmaktadır ve katın her iki ucundaki balkon ve teras, iç/dış mekan yaşam deneyimi için açılabilir. Tamamen beyaz mutfak moderniteyi simgeliyor. Şık heykelsi bir yemek alanı adası, mat vernikli dolaplar, bir kiler ve Viking ve Fisher & Paykel'den yüksek kaliteli aletlerle donatılmıştır. Bir başka banyo ise mekanı tamamlamaktadır. A luminous duplex condo thats been gut-renovated, this floor-through 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom home situated on the second floor of the building is a sleek expression of contemporary city luxury.
